Before delving into the construction world, Neven spent two decades in a distinguished diplomatic career at Croatia's Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs. His remarkable trajectory includes high-level positions both domestically and abroad. Sharing his expertise, he's lectured at the Diplomatic Academy and international forums, including summer schools, seminars, and events organized by the Republic of Croatia, NATO, the Atlantic Council of Croatia, foreign foundations, and real estate and development conferences.

In 2014, he embarked on a new trajectory, materializing his vision by leading construction projects under the VMD Model. His engagement extends to the operational leadership of VMD Group, renowned for its prominence in property development and residential construction. Notably, in 2021, he assumed the director position within the organization.

Additionally, he serves as the president of the foundation board for the Mikec Family Foundation and holds directorial roles in multiple esteemed family-owned enterprises.

A true champion of sustainable and green construction, innovative approaches, and cutting-edge architecture, Neven's passion has manifested through unique projects at VMD Model. The "Bužanova Block" and "Park Kneževa" projects are particularly noteworthy, having been awarded the Annual Awards for New Building of the Year by the Croatian Green Building Council, a World Green Building Council member. The "Park Kneževa" project also holds London's prestigious International Property Award in two categories in 2023.
